Retirement Plans

This is in response to some Frequently Asked Questions.

We are not saving for retirement. My husband wants to be a pastor. He says servants of God don't retire and I agree.

We are saving and working toward a far more sustainable life, one that will require less and less income. We call this partial financial independence.

As a mom to six kids, I understand how hard it is to save for retirement. But I would urge you to reconsider. Servants of God don't retire, but they do get old and need help and care. As a nurse working primarily with older people I have seen many pastors and their wives, who would be lost without their retirement savings.
